Elk Rapids Cinema Introduces Discount Mondays for Seniors and EBT Cardholders
Elk Rapids, MI - June 24, 2024 – The historic Elk Rapids Cinema announces the launch of “Discount Mondays,” a new initiative aimed at making cinematic programming at the Chalfonte Theatre more accessible and affordable. Starting immediately, seniors aged 65 and older and Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cardholders will enjoy special discounted admission to cinematic programs every Monday.
As part of the Cinema's ongoing commitment to community engagement and support, Discount Mondays are designed to offer seniors and low-income individuals and families an opportunity to enjoy the latest films in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Details of Discount Mondays:
When: Every Monday
Who: Seniors aged 65 and older, and EBT cardholders
Discounted Admission: $5 per ticket
Expanded Programming:
In addition to discounted movie tickets on Mondays, the Chalfonte Theatre will soon offer a variety of non-cinematic programming throughout the week. Seniors and EBT cardholders will have access to discounted and often free admission to these enriching cultural experiences, including:
Live Dramatic Productions: Experience live theater performances featuring local and regional talent, bringing classic and contemporary plays to life on stage.
The HIP Show: Attend live recordings of an innovative children's morning program, The HIP Show, which blends entertainment and education with segments on global culture, weather, and more.
Radio Drama Recordings: Step back into the golden age of radio with live recordings of both classic and contemporary radio dramas, performed by local voice actors and storytellers.
